Igishigishigi trail in Nyungwe Forest National Park is one of the shortest nature trails in this pristine forests of Rwanda. The is Igishigishigi trail in Nyungwe is of 2.1 km long and can be hiked in average of 1 ½ hours return trip and rated easy on the scale of hiking adventure on an elevation altitude of 2295m above sea level. The Igishigishigi Trail, named for the majestic giant tree ferns along the trail, it became so famous after the Canopy walk site selection very close to Uwinka overlook station in Nyungwe Forest.

Visitors to the Canopy walk in Nyungwe gets to walk through the Igishigishigi trail. Visitors get to see the forest above from the floors of the forest. It is an exciting experience taking a bird’s eye view of Nyungwe forest on a Canopy belt. Canopy walk can be arranged anytime of the day happening in two sessions the morning session that starts at 0900 and the afternoon canopy walk experience at 1500.
